LEVERAGE YOUR THINKING
BECOME YOUR BEST SELF
A LOOK AT THE SCIENCE
The ValuesCompass assessment, created by Dr. Robert S. Hartman, is based upon formal axiology, a field of psychology that evaluates how individuals assign value to themselves and to the surrounding environment.
The assessment uses a simple ranking exercise. Participants are asked to rank 18 items best to worst and 18 phrases most agree to least agree. The assessment combines 6 thinking dimensions and 3 value assignments (intrinsic, extrinsic, and systematic) to form 18 unique value judgments. Those value judgements are then applied to the ranking of each list of items and phrases resulting in 6.4 quadrillion possible ways a profile can be composed.
This is NOT a personality or aptitude test. The assessment places its emphasis on thinking, not behaving. It is virtually impossible to cheat on this assessment. Studies have determined that since the assessment does not request the participant to describe others or themselves, their strengths/weaknesses, bias is virtually eliminated resulting in a 99.5% confidence level.
